Award Ceremony and Lecture for the 27th HIA Haiku Contest (December 1, 2025)
The HIA will hold the Award Ceremony for the 27th HIA Haiku Contest, followed by a commemorative lecture, as outlined below.
The lecturer on this occasion will be Dr. Robert Campbell, Professor Emeritus at the University of Tokyo, well known for his television appearances. His field of expertise ranges from early modern Japanese literature to Meiji-period literature, with particular focus on Sino-Japanese literature, arts, and intellectual history from the Edo to the Meiji period.
He will deliver a lecture entitled “On Haiku and Haikai.”
(A report on his recent visit to Ukraine will also be included.)
