The haiku collections about the Great East Japan Earthquake “My One Haiku”
Deadline date : May 10, 2026

The Miyagi Haiku Association has had the privilege of publishing ‘My One Haiku: A Collection from the Great East Japan Earthquake’ 3 times to date, as a foundation for praying for the victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake and marking a step towards tomorrow.
This March marked 15 years since the Great East Japan Earthquake.
To commemorate this milestone, and with the aim of ensuring the Great Earthquake is not forgotten through the power of haiku, but rather passed on to future generations, we will be publishing a 4th volume.
We are therefore widely inviting submissions of haiku, composed from immediately after the earthquake up to the present day, marking 15 years since the disaster. We encourage anyone and everyone to apply, regardless of whether they were affected, their place of residence, or their age.
